Hey Hi D here,
2020 was quite the year wasn’t it, quite frankly I’m glad it’s over because for me personally this year has been tumultuous. Is 2021 going to much better, let’s wait and see. Not the best of starts with what’s going on in DC but that’s not my business *sips tea*. Particularly in my professional life. It’s important to remember that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Always do what’s best for you and your mental health, due to the pandemic this year when my contract ended in April, I was in a predicament as jobs were limited and I was looking for a job for 2 months and when I took a job, I’ve realised that the role was not for me and it was becoming detrimental to my mental health as I saw myself going into depression.
It’s important to know that when you’re in a predicament similar to me that you’re not alone and to seek help or any form of support immediately. I’ve gone through this before, so I knew the signs and acted a lot quicker than I did back then. I took the necessary precautions to protect myself. Was it selfish? Probably. Do I regret it? No. Sometimes it’s simply necessary to do what you need to do before you lose yourself trying to please others.
Don’t be afraid to do what you need to do for yourself and remember focus on yourself and run your own race.
You can’t come and kill yourself
